A Long Beach, New York emergency room has closed due to staffing shortages. At least they're admitting it's because of the state's vaccine mandates and not claiming that dozens of employees suddenly quit because of stress. Story here.
Mount Sinai Long Beach hospital fired 72 healthcare staff due to vaccine mandate, and then closed down due to staff shortage.

COVID vaccines don't stop infection or spread, they only slow it down a little. Nevertheless, the ER has been closed to keep you safe. The hospital says it's just temporary until they find more employees, who are going to come from...where, exactly? While the ER is closed, patients can rush to the nearest emergency room five miles away, presumably through New York City's gridlocked traffic.
This closure was due to a state mandate, but hospitals and doctors offices are likewise driving the clown car off the cliff of their own accord, firing staff even if they've already had COVID and have better immunity than the shot offers, firing staff even if they work remotely. Is there anyone who still believes that the medical industry is guided by science, evidence or reason?

As long as opinions are guided by reason or evidence, I usually don't mind hearing them even if I disagree with them. But the devil is in the details, and the details are mostly in primary sources. Once you find those sources, you have to know something about where the information came from, how it's presented, whether it supports any conclusions offered, and whether it fits with related facts. It's difficult and time-consuming.
So when someone says they don't pay much attention to the news and they have better things to do than obsess about politics, their opinions on news and politics cannot have been well researched or analyzed. Unfortunately, Living Stingy is no longer about living stingy, but regurgitating the news and taking a dump on anyone whose politics and vaccination status stray from what they say on TV. I'm dropping the blog from the roll, but you can see archives at livingstingy.blogspot.com.
